We are seeking a Primary Teacher qualified to teach across kindergarten through 5th Grade, with the flexibility to work within mixed-grade learning cohorts.
The role is ideal for an educator who understands that children learn best when strong academics are combined with movement, wellness, curiosity, and cooperation– honoring the natural energy of childhood and engaging both mind and body to create deep, lasting learning.
REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS
A - Professional Skills
- Bachelor’s degree in Education, Elementary Education, or related field
- Valid teaching certification or credential
- Minimum 3 years full-time teaching experience
- Spanish at a conversational level required (bilingual preferred)
- Native English Speaker
- Strong lesson planning skills
B - Preferred
- Experience in an international school setting
- Comfort teaching mixed-grade or multi-age groups
- Experience with project-based, inquiry-based, or experiential learning

YOUR RESPONSIBILITIES
A - Teaching & Learning
- Plan and deliver instruction in English Language Arts, Math and Science aligned with Common Core Standards
- Design lessons creatively, using a mix of curriculum resources, hands-on learning materials, and natural elements
- Differentiate instruction to support mixed ages, abilities, and learning stages.
- Deliver English instruction supporting phonological awareness, decoding, fluency, vocabulary, and comprehension.
- Teach Math & Science through hands-on, inquiry-based learning, encouraging exploration, curiosity, and critical thinking.
- Integrate movement, multisensory learning, manipulatives, experiments, and outdoor exploration into daily instruction
B - Leadership & Environment
- Create a learning space that is safe, welcoming, supportive, and well-structured
- Establish routines that promote respect, independence, collaboration, and self-regulation.
- Guide and collaborate with teacher assistants to support differentiated and small group learning
- Incorporate movement, play, and wellness practices to support focus and emotional balance
- Guide mixed-age group dynamics and transitions, mealtimes, and free play experiences with positive leadership
- Lead social-emotional learning and team building, helping mixed-aged cohorts develop empathy, communication, and shared responsibility for their learning community
C - Assessment, Documentation & Family Communication
- Prepare weekly updates and semester reports describing student progress
- Document individual and group learning through observations, reflections, and photographs
- Maintain consistent, responsive communication with families, sharing updates on academic, social, and emotional development
- Help make learning visible to families by sharing class experiences and projects
- Collaborate with colleagues, participate in school events.
